Hi, I’m male, married and soon to be 50. I grew up in southern England but have since moved to Connecticut in the north east of the USA. Have been running for about 35 years, mostly as a hobby rather than a fierce competitor. My favorite places to run are open spaces especially when the weather is ‘bad’. I run with the attitude that ‘hills are good’ and the trail ‘is what it is’ so don’t waste energy moaning about it. I’m married to another runner, so whenever we run together a ‘gentle’ training run can soon develop into a battle as we try to grind each other into the ground - you could say we can be competitive!
Have acquired the running name Mr. Bimble; after the term to bimble which means a gentle run without real purpose. regularly run with a great group of people that also go by the name Bimbler’s Sound and in 2007 had a go at directing a race for the first time. It’s called the Bimbler’s Bash or “…possibly the longest 10k you’ve ever run…”
